Fierce Panda, the label that started many a stellar career, may just have another juggernaut on their hands after Somerset/Guildford quartet China Bears release their debut for the label, Stay for Good. They just released an accompanying video.
The song bursts into life like something out of the Gedge cannon, but then settles into more of a Maccabees thing, chiming guitars, emotive melodies, slowing down and then taking off again, adorable harmonies – that sort of thing. It’s totally lovable.
The video features the band playing through resplendent in indie kid garb with nice hair and a rather fetching moustache. If only I coulda still pull it off.

The band are due to release a new EP this summer , and they play Fierce Panda’s Official Great Escape Showcase on Fri 10 May 13:15 at Three Wise Cats (Casablanca).
