FULL of surprises, Mark Everitt’s Eels have just dropped an unexpected new single entitled “Baby Let’s Make It Real”, the result of recent sessions at the band’s studio in Los Feliz, California.

It’s the first new music to emerge by the band since the release of their most recent album, The Deconstruction, two years ago. You’ll find the lyric video herein.

Coming on the back of an autumnal piano progression, E’s on fine and luvin’ form, wanting to make it real with his woman. “Girl, bring the joy / Get those high boots on / And dance until God hears ya,” he vocates of his new squeeze, his voice gravelly immaculate. There’s some nicely scuzzy guitar work too.

E says, simply: “How ‘bout a new song to get your mind off your troubles for 3 minutes and 55 seconds? Play it again if you want to double that time.”

Follow Eels on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and at their website.
