Joseph Donnelly, aka Elkyn, has just released his new single ‘Something’ via Tambourine Machine Records. It’s the Leeds based singer-songwriters follow up to last years debut EP Beech , and the single ‘if only it was alright now’.

On the track, Elkyn says “’something’ is about not feeling anything. It’s about all the things I tried in a pretty desperate attempt to just feel something, but ultimately finding myself stuck in the same self destructive cycle”.

Right from its outset, Something makes you feel. These wistful synth lines and Donnelly’s aching vocal, decorated at its core with harmonies, just pulls at your heart strings. Clocking in just over two minutes, that’s still enough to install this beautiful melancholy in you.
