DANDYISH London troubadour King Charles has released the video for a new lockdown song, “Feel These Heavy Times”.

It’s a sweet and hushed pleas for togetherness and love in straitened times: “I know you know life’s not fair / Maybe that’s why revolution’s in the air”.

The video features self-filmed clips of fans at home during lockdown, answering an appeal Charles put out on social media.

He said: “I’m really happy to have footage from lots of different people, capturing what’s happening in their lives during a time of such significance.

“While there’s a lot going on in the world and on the news it has kept me thinking about how people, in their own unique way, are facing these circumstances. I hoped to create something that would in some way capture these moments and act as a reminder for people involved just how they dealt with these heavy times.”

Charles has also announced his rescheduled British tour, which will now take place in late autumn, now including an extra Mancunian date. The dates are as follows:

Monday, October 12th, Bristol, Thekla

Tuesday, October 13th, Birmingham, Castle & Falcon

Wednesday, October 14th, Cambridge, Junction

Thursday, October 15th, Nottingham, Glee Club

Friday, October 16th, London, Omeara

Saturday, October 17th, Manchester, Band on the Wall

Sunday, October 18th, Newcastle, Hit the North

Monday, October 19th, Glasgow, Classic Grand
