Made up of members from Julian Cope’s band, Six by Seven, Bivouac, The Selector and Nectarine No. 9, Nottingham trio Attraktors, and is taken from their forthcoming self-titled album on DJ, musician and producer Ali Renault’s Vivod label on July 3rd. From it they’ve released a taste in the shape of a track ‘Theme from Unknown Program’.
The track mixes up Krautrock, spacerock and synthpop into this cinematic slab of instrumental goodness, that could almost be Mogwai played by the Specials with added . It has this brooding, almost foreboding nature to it as it echoes and bubbles and weaves it way through to a stuttering but intensely satisfying conclusion.
