Bobby Freemont shares the emotive yet infectious alt-pop grower ‘Hurt No More’.
Freemont first made his mark as a record producer, amassing over 50 million streams while collaborating with Grammy-nominated and Juno-winning artists. But after the tragic loss of three people close to him, Freemont turned inward, embarking on journey of self healing and discover, eventually leading to launch his own solo career. His debut EP, Doors To Kick, received critical acclaim and has since garnered nearly 3 million streams. Now sharing the new single, taken from the anticipated upcoming debut album The Death Of Bobby Freemont, Bobby continues to grow as an artist.
With the release of his latest single, ‘Hurt No More’, Freemont offers a raw, unfiltered look into the pain of witnessing a loved one’s final days, marked by an unrelenting battle with mental illness. His poignant storytelling, laid over a backdrop of fingerpicked guitars and silky synths captures a enticing lo-fi bedroom tone. Growing into a radiantly catchy chorus, the track balances its somber reflective story telling with some buoyant melodies, giving the track a commercial pop appeal.
Reminiscent of Mac DeMarco, Rex Orange County’s textured production style, the track is a great example of Bobby Freemont’s skill as both a writer and performer.
Reflecting on the release, Freemont shared, “Hurt No More is about the battles we face in silence. If you’ve felt the weight of loss and the struggle for peace, you’re not alone.”
