Chelsea Wolfe has returned with her first new music since 2024’s She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She, unveiling the haunting new tracks ‘The Dark’ and ‘Death Is Not the End’ as the first glimpse of her forthcoming ninth studio album.

Released via Loma Vista Recordings, the two songs once again find Wolfe inhabiting the liminal space between beauty and unease that has made her one of contemporary music’s most singular voices. ‘Death Is Not the End’ features guitarist Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails and drummer Matt Chamberlain, whose illustrious résumé includes work with Tori Amos and Fiona Apple. Meanwhile, ‘The Dark’ enlists Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa alongside bassist and producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen, known for his collaborations with Beck and Air.
The arrival of the new material follows a week of intrigue among fans, who pieced together cryptic imagery and sonic fragments shared through Heretic Parfum’s social channels. The mystery ultimately led to the unveiling of GHOSTS, the fragrance house’s first collaboration with a musician. Wolfe serves as the face of the campaign, with musical soundscapes crafted from her new material offering listeners an early hint of the world she is now beginning to reveal.
Over the course of eight albums, Wolfe has built a body of work that moves effortlessly between doom metal, folk, industrial and spectral balladry. Collaborations with Chino Moreno, Converge and Xiu Xiu, contributions to Game of Thrones and co-writing the score for Ti West’s A24 horror film X have only strengthened her reputation as one of alternative music’s most adventurous artists.
Known for creating immersive and deeply atmospheric worlds, Wolfe’s songs frequently explore grief, transformation and spirituality, blurring the boundaries between darkness and transcendence. That ethos appears set to continue with her next chapter, with ‘The Dark’ and ‘Death Is Not the End’ offering a compelling introduction to what lies ahead.
The release arrives alongside the announcement of a 43-date tour across the United States and Europe, running from September through the end of 2026. Wolfe will headline ArcTanGent Festival before embarking on the extensive run, with Jonathan Hultén joining her on US dates and A.A. Williams accompanying the European leg.
