Few young bands have experienced a rise quite as rapid as Deux Visages. Formed by vocalist Daphney Hanono, guitarist Jack Chiu and bassist Tony Jouvin after striking up a friendship through direct messages while still in high school, the trio have spent the last few years transforming early promise into something altogether more distinctive.
After generating buzz through their immersive live shows, Deux Visages were quickly snapped up by Atlantic Records. Since then, they have steadily expanded their profile through a run of singles, an EP and support slots alongside Mannequin Pussy, julie and Wunderhorse. A move from Miami to Philadelphia has further sharpened their identity, resulting in a sound that blends dream-pop and alternative rock with an emotional directness that feels uniquely their own.
Now, the trio have announced their signing to Pure Noise Records and shared their latest single, ‘Always You’, accompanied by a new video. Describing the song as “the song that we always wanted to write,” Hanono says the track emerged from feelings of longing and helplessness.
“It’s about being a fly on the wall and watching over someone you love,” she explains. “It’s about longing, uncertainty, and fear. Essentially, a song that’s written to be a cry for someone that won’t hear.”
Built around soaring melodies and understated vulnerability, ‘Always You’ grapples with the uneasy process of leaving childhood behind while desperately trying to preserve pieces of it. That tension between nostalgia and growth gives the song much of its emotional weight, offering a poignant meditation on grief, identity and change.

The single also serves as the first glimpse of Deux Visages’ debut album, due later this year. If ‘Always You’ is any indication, the band have arrived at a creative sweet spot, one where earnestness and ambition coexist in compelling fashion. For a group whose story began with a thread of messages between teenagers, Deux Visages are now looking firmly toward the future.
