The Bournemouth born and raised singer songwriter DD Allen’s journey is an emotionally-charged story of determination over defeat. After lost shows and ill health took their toll during the career-stalling lockdown, Allen found inspiration and motivation in Huey Morgan’s book Rebel Heroes. The stories resonated deeply and ignited the ideas for a new body of work drenched in escapism and finding a way out through his craft.
Allen’s debut EP entitled ‘Rebel Hero’ is due to be released on the 6th of October. Until then Allen has shared the title track a stadium built anthem that paves the way for DD Allen in 2023.
A bright rock classic that shines with its big chorus delivered with a fiery guitar tone and soaring vocals. A pinch of 70s Americana that matches with the track video gives the track the distinct freedom vibe that sees it sitting apart from a lot of today’s music.
