Track: Sig Sali Shares Indie-Pop Bop ‘Bad Man Horror’

Bristol-based producer, songwriter, and vocalist SIG SALI has released his infectious and euphoric new single, ‘Bad Man Horror’.

Taken from his forthcoming EP Chaos In My Mind, the track introduces listeners to the bold soundscapes that define SIG SALI’s artistry. From the processed, auto-tune heavy vocal production, washes of synth and the angular guitars, the track highlights the thoughtful soundscaping that went into making the EP. Combining the sleek, futuristic elements of electronic synthwave with the raw energy of indie, the single highlights his ability to craft immersive, genre-defying music.

Produced by SIG SALI himself, alongside co-producer Freddie Cowan (The Vaccines, Freddie & The Scenarios) and mixed by Ricardo Acasuso (The Vaccines), the upcoming Chaos In My Mind EP promises infectious melodic hooks and rich indietronica arrangements that both hark back to the likes of Delphic and M83 whilst bringing a biting, current edge. Both accessible yet bringing a striking alternative edge through its swift key changes and layered instrumentation, the new single ‘Bad Man Horror’ reflects this perfectly.

Talking a bout the single SIG SALI explains: “I’ve always had these hectic, vivid dreams since I was a kid—not sleep paralysis, but strange, emotional, recurring dreams that feel so real they shake me to my core. Most of the time, they’re wild and far-fetched, like something out of a fictional movie. But every now and then, they’re so tied to reality that I wake up breathless, completely overwhelmed.

One dream in particular really got to me—I couldn’t shake it. I went to work the next day still trembling with anxiety, and it took hours to convince myself it was just a dream. That night, it was still haunting me, so I wrote it down, and that’s how Bad Man Horror was born. The connection between my reality and subconscious in that dream was so intense that once the song was written, I felt this massive relief. Writing it was like therapy and allowed me to process and let go of something I hadn’t realized was weighing on me.”
