Track: The Professionals – Spike Me Baby

The Professionals have shared the video for new track Spike Me Baby taken from their new album, SNAFU due 8th October via JTP Records.

The band comments:

“It’s from the poppier side of the upcoming album and tells the tale of Cookie’s comeuppance after helping himself unknowingly to his daughter’s (herbally enhanced) chocolates. His daughter, the amazing Hollie Cook features on the track with her distinctive backing vocals. Cookie went from peckish, to feeling the end was near, to sitting back and enjoying the ride – he really got spiked by his baby.”

There’s no missing Tom Spencer’s rousing vocals on this stomping rock track or the melodic riff that catches the ear. It’s masterclass in writing a classic rock track, with a fiery sing along chorus, tasty guitar licks and a solid backbone from Cook’s textbook drumming.
