On the cusp of releasing their debut album on 6131 records, Thunder Dreamer began as a solo project for Steven Hamilton but has expanded into a four piece. Together they create these rather captivating indie rock songs, often with a large dose of piano at their core, and brushed with a sheen of melancholy. So is the case with album title track Capture, which see’s the Evansville, Indiana band show their hand with a frankly lovely melody, the aching octaves of the piano merely added to with these arching guitar lines and Hamilton’s almost fragile, hazy vocal line soaring over the top.
