San Francisco’s Tycho have just released a new single ‘Easy’ on Mom + Pop X Ninja Tune, and comes ahead of a new album, due out later in the year.

With a CV that boasts over 1.3 million sales and a Grammy Nomination, Tycho – essentially the project of Scott Hansen, knows what he’s doing,  but with this new chapter, he’s focusing on something new “After a trilogy of records spent exploring the outer reaches of experience I am focusing inward to reveal a human side to the music”, he says.

Easy shows some of that human qualities, with these layers of warm synths and popping bass sounds paving the way for this trippy drum loop. Over the top female vocals cut in and out, floating over the top of things. It all wraps itself around you like a little comfort blanket.
