Spacey Jane, Perth’s sensational musical phenomenon, has just graced the airwaves with their latest single, ‘One Bad Day.’ This track serves as a poignant tribute to moments of overreaction, shedding light on the human tendency to overlook the positive amid the complexities of the present.

‘One Bad Day’ is a song that demands to be experienced at max volume, windows down, inviting listeners into its captivating and immersive landscape. This infectious blend of indie rock features a mesmerising melody coupled with introspective lyrics, all complemented by Caleb Harper’s distinctive and soul-stirring vocals.

Spacey Jane reached new heights in 2023, culminating in an impressive 432 million global streams. The band headlined major Australian festivals, including Grapevine Gathering, Rolling Sets, and Changing Tides, and embarked on an extensive international tour that solidified their status as Aussie superstars. Their sophomore release, ‘Here Comes Everybody,’ soared to the #1 spot on the ARIA charts, garnering well-deserved nominations at both the ARIA Awards and J Awards. As Spacey Jane bids farewell to the ‘Here Comes Everybody’ era with the release of ‘One Bad Day,’ fans eagerly anticipate the unveiling of the next captivating chapter in their musical journey.

Caleb explains, “The song was written just as we delivered “Here Comes Everybody”. Kon and I caught up in Brisbane between shows and wanted to build on the past six months of collaboration with no real plan in mind – we sat in his studio for a day and voila! We juggled remote recording between Australia and the USA, where we’ve been working on LP3, and finished it up in Brisbane while on tour. To me it feels like it’s the perfect bookend for this album cycle, it was too late for ‘Here Comes Everybody’ and doesn’t seem to fit in with our next record. At the same time, we really love the song, we want to see it out in the world and so found it a place in between albums as a way to say thank you to fans and scratch an itch of our own before we start rolling out LP3.“

The evolution of Spacey Jane continues, leaving an indelible mark on the music scene and setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting and innovative future for this remarkable band. As they navigate the ever-changing landscape of the music industry, Spacey Jane’s unique sound and artistic prowess continue to captivate audiences far and wide.
