A year has passed since Archy Marshall, famously known as King Krule, released his critically acclaimed fourth studio album, ‘Space Heavy’. The South London artist has now made a grand return with a new EP titled ‘SHHHHHHH!’, now available through XL Recordings / Remote Control. This record includes four highly sought-after tracks: ‘Achtung’, ‘All Soup Now’, ‘Time For Slurp’, and ‘Whaleshark’.

The singles were originally exclusive to flexi-discs sold during King Krule’s 2023 SHHHHHHH! Tour, making their wider release eagerly anticipated by everyone familiar with the Blue Wave genre originator. The original flexi-disc has quickly become a coveted collector piece, currently listed at £1000 on Discogs.

In celebration of the EP’s release, King Krule has released a self-directed music video for ‘Time For Slurp‘. The track quickly became a fan-favourite after its first performance at the SHHHHHHH! Tour’s opening show at La Marbrerie in Paris. The video, shot in black and white by Josh Renaut, features Marshall and his bandmates—saxophonist Ignacio Salvadores and drummer George Bass—paddling aimlessly through a swamp.

Following the release of ‘Space Heavy’ in 2023, King Krule set off on a global tour with his long-time bandmates. In a recent collaboration, he also joined Mount Kimbie on ‘Empty and Silent’ from their latest album, ‘The Sunset Violent’. The band came together again for a heartwarming set at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival last week, where King Krule brought his daughter on stage. This touching moment was especially poignant, coming full circle from his first Glastonbury performance in 2008, when he was just 14.
