Having formed during lockdown, Northeast London outfit Le Rox are making up for lost time. Steffan (guitar) and James (bass) had previously been in a band together, they met Paulo (drums), but it didn’t all come together until Laura Le Rox was added on vocal duty.
“They already had all this amazing stuff written, so it became pretty easy for me,” says Laura, who was previously singer in London band, Pretty Pistol. Drawing from a wide range of influences, including emo and rap, the band have yet to release an album but have released several tracks through the Bandcamp route. There’s a raw power to Laura’s vocals, which is complemented by Steffan’s searing guitar melodies. It’s not all a 100 mph onslaught however, there’s plenty of light and shade, with quiet passages before exploding fully
