Tramlines Festival 2026 brought tens of thousands of music lovers together at Hillsborough Park for a brilliant three-day celebration of world-class music, inclusive vibes, and vibrant local culture. From major headliners to rising talents, this year’s edition delivered high-energy performances across the entire weekend.
Friday: Opening Night Energy & High-Octane Hits
The festival kicked off on Friday in proper Sheffield style, setting a massive tone for the weekend:
- Fatboy Slim headlined the Sarah Nulty Main Stage, transforming Hillsborough Park into an enormous open-air dance floor with an explosive, visual-packed DJ set.
- Special guests Kaiser Chiefs brought classic Yorkshire swagger and crowd-pleasing festival anthems.
- The main stage roared with huge sets from The Vaccines, The K’s, and The Coral, along with an outstanding performance from emerging guitar outfit Keo.
- Rising talent Milly Pye delivered a standout performance, joining a packed Friday bill that also included Starsailor, Vanessa Carlton, and Black Honey.
Saturday: Fancy Dress & Unforgettable Collaborations
Saturday brought sunny skies and Tramlines’ first-ever Fancy Dress Day, where fans embraced the letter ‘T’ in spectacular fashion—filling the park with everything from Teletubbies and Tiger Kings to TY Beanie Babies.
- Courteeners delivered a triumphant headline set on the Sarah Nulty Main Stage.
- Rick Astley stole the show, delighting crowds with a surprise drum cover of RAYE’s Where Is My Husband? Before joining Blossoms on stage during their energetic set.
- Gabrielle treated T’Other Stage crowds to classic hits including Dreams and Out of Reach, while Lucy Spraggan brought her signature singalong energy to a hugely receptive audience.
- Local favorites The Everly Pregnant Brothers joined The Leadmill Studio Orchestra for a moving tribute to late local photographer legend Glenn Ashley.
Sunday: A Soaring Finale & Special Guest Surprises
Sunday capped off the weekend in style with a stacked lineup across the site and an unforgettable finish:
- Wolf Alice closed out the festival with a soaring headline set on the Sarah Nulty Main Stage, confirming their place among the UK’s finest live acts.
- Wet Leg brought sharp post-punk hooks and playful, electric energy to the Sunday afternoon crowd.
- Hometown heroes Reverend and the Makers turned the park into a giant singalong, complete with a massive surprise appearance from Sheffield legend Richard Hawley, who joined them on stage for an electrifying performance of Silence Is Talking.
- Lottery Winners brought pure joy and infectious energy to the stage, while Brooke Combe delivered a brilliant, soulful set.
- The weekend also saw fantastic performances from rising acts like Bleech 9:3, alongside high-octane sets from The Royston Club, The Enemy, Florence Road, and The Rosadocs.
