From the relatively young dance label ‘Somma’, comes their next EP ‘Too Far Gone’, from producer VayFlor and features two original tracks and a remix. Deep, Melodic or Progressive House, you can take your pick from the various genres used to label the music, but to me its all of these and more. The Title track comes with heavy house beats, luscious pads and cool arpeggiated synths. The simple emotive vocals float above the track bringing it all together making the whole tune soar.
The second track ‘La Vida’ starts with a minimal intro but soon kicks up the tempo as the beats drop in and take you on a progressive trip. The vocals create more of the melodic accompaniment on this one as the synths swirl around creating an air of mystery. ‘La Vida’ gets the remix treatment from ‘Folum’ which is a more Lo-Fi House version of the original using the vocals to great effect. One to watch out for.
