News: Biffy Clyro Announce First Australian Tour in Eight Years

Scottish rock trio Biffy Clyro are making their long-awaited return to Australia in April 2026, marking their first shows on local soil in eight years. The band will perform in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, bringing with them a setlist that spans their triple-platinum discography — from early fan favourites to tracks off their acclaimed new album, Futique.

Released in September 2025, Futique reaffirmed the group’s standing as one of the UK’s most inventive rock acts. Blending vulnerability with power, the record topped the UK album charts — their fourth Number One — and was praised by NME as “a vulnerable yet life-affirming blast.” The album’s success has only strengthened their reputation as a band capable of marrying chaos and beauty with surgical precision.

Formed in the Glasgow club scene, Simon Neil, James Johnston, and Ben Johnston carved their identity through raw energy and genre experimentation — from math rock to expansive, orchestral alt-rock. Their 2009 breakthrough Only Revolutions earned them a Mercury Prize nomination and went platinum, catapulting them into the international spotlight. Over ten studio albums, they’ve refined their craft without losing the visceral urgency that first set them apart.

Renowned for their live performances, Biffy Clyro’s shows are an exercise in balance — explosive yet intimate, structured yet unpredictable. They’ve headlined some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Reading & Leeds, Download, TRNSMT, and Isle of Wight, with Kerrang! describing their stage presence as “a masterclass in joy and professionalism.” Recently nominated by Rolling Stone in the Live Act category, the band continue to prove that two decades in, they remain at the height of their powers.

Their 2026 Australian tour offers a rare chance to experience that energy firsthand — a band still evolving, still restless, and still one of the most essential forces in modern rock.
