News: boy bleach release new single ‘East End Boys’

Hailing from Leyton in London, Boy Bleach are proving why they are one of the most exciting British groups to emerge in 2023 with the release of ‘East End Boys’, the new single out today on Parlophone.

The track is an ode to the band’s East London roots and a rebuke of the gentrification of the area that raised them.  Speaking of the single they say “East London is our home, and has always been for most of us.  We’ve grown up in an area where every town around us has been gentrified to shit and we’ve noticed the shift in our community. Our home became a trend and it diluted the sanctity of what made it our home, so we wanted to create something that felt like an account of the life and death of our home. Long live East London innit.”

After releasing their debut EP the band have quickly built a rabid fanbase and reputation for their raucous live shows – performing on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading & Leeds before sold out dates across the UK and Europe.  Currently on tour with The Band CAMINO around Europe, 2023 has plenty more in store for Boy Bleach with festival performances confirmed at Mad Cool, Rock am Ring/Rock im Park and Truck Festival alongside a headline UK/EU tour.

Born and raised in East London, Boy Bleach are made up of two sets of brothers (Lou & Jimi / James & Nick) and best friend JJ.  Talented musicians in their own right, their Brit-icised alt-rock sound is as diverse as their musical heroes – everything from Depeche Mode, Garbage, Blur, The Clash and Pistols to Kano and Gorillaz. With a natural flair for making gritty anthems, they manage to be both cheeky and brutally direct.
