Global R&B icons Boyz II Men will return to Australia and New Zealand this November and December, joined by hip-hop trailblazers Salt-N-Pepa and, making their Australian debut, Bell Biv DeVoe. The tour combines three acts whose influence helped shape R&B, hip hop and new jack swing throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, with a run of arena performances and A Day On The Green winery shows.
Presented by MG Live, Frontier Touring and Arena Touring, the tour includes arena dates at RAC Arena in Perth, TikTok Entertainment Centre in Sydney and Spark Arena in Auckland, alongside outdoor performances at Mount Duneed Estate in Geelong, Bimbadgen in the Hunter Valley and Sirromet Wines in Queensland.
Few vocal groups have enjoyed the longevity of Boyz II Men. Selling more than 64 million albums worldwide, Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman remain the best-selling R&B group in history. Their catalogue includes enduring hits such as End Of The Road, I’ll Make Love To You, On Bended Knee, Motownphilly and the Mariah Carey collaboration One Sweet Day, songs that continue to resonate with audiences decades after their release.
Joining them are Salt-N-Pepa, whose impact on hip hop extends far beyond their chart success. As the first female hip-hop act inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Cheryl “Salt” James, Sandra “Pepa” Denton and DJ Spinderella helped redefine the possibilities for women in rap with landmark singles including Push It, Shoop, Let’s Talk About Sexand Whatta Man. Their influence continues to be felt across multiple generations of artists.
Completing the lineup are Bell Biv DeVoe, who will perform in Australia for the first time. Formed by Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe following the success of New Edition, the trio helped pioneer the new jack swing movement with their landmark album Poison. Tracks including Poison, Do Me! and B.B.D. (I Thought It Was Me)?remain staples of the era and continue to shape contemporary R&B and hip hop.
Bringing together three acts whose catalogues remain central to the soundtrack of the 1990s, the tour offers Australian audiences an opportunity to revisit some of the defining voices of R&B and hip hop in both arena and outdoor settings.
