Australian electronic heavyweight Cassian is set to return home this spring for two special open-air headline shows, bringing his globally acclaimed melodic house sound to Sydney and Melbourne.
Presented by Untitled Group, the Grammy Award-winning DJ, producer and mixing engineer will perform at Sydney’s Portugal Community Club on October 31 before heading to Melbourne’s Heide Sculpture Park on November 7. Both events will feature a carefully assembled supporting cast, including German producer Nils Hoffmann performing live, Los Angeles-based artist Mild Minds, Samantha Loveridge and Sydney producer OLIIV.
The dates arrive following another landmark period for Cassian, whose work as an artist, producer and mixer has accumulated billions of streams and helped shape the contemporary melodic electronic landscape. Fresh from appearances at Coachella and Tomorrowland, as well as his role as Musical Director for Anyma’s ambitious Sphere Las Vegas production, the Australian artist continues to cement his status as one of the country’s most successful electronic exports.
His solo catalogue, along with collaborations and production work for artists including RÜFÜS DU SOL, Anyma, John Summit and Hayden James, has made Cassian a defining figure in melodic house and techno. His contribution to RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ‘Alive’ also earned him a Grammy Award, adding to an already impressive list of achievements.
After selling more than 6,000 tickets across his most recent Australian headline run and appearing at festivals including Beyond The Valley, Wildlands and Lost Paradise, Cassian’s return promises another immersive experience. Set against two distinctive outdoor backdrops, the performances are expected to showcase the euphoric blend of melodic techno and progressive house that has made him a fixture on the world’s biggest stages.
