Sydney’s New Year’s Eve is heading underwater. elrow Sydney XXL has unveiled its 2026 lineup, bringing Arielle Free, Belters Only, Kölsch, MEDUZA and William Kiss to Bondi Beach on December 31 alongside a sizeable crew of local selectors.
This year’s theme is El triángulo de las Rowmudas, or the Rowmuda Triangle, and subtlety has clearly been thrown overboard. A pirate ship swallowed by the Kraken becomes the main stage, with weathered wreckage, inflatable sea creatures and scuba divers hanging overhead. Inside Bondi Pavilion, the Pink Cathedral provides a second playground for elrow’s particular collision of club music and theatrical excess.
The international bill comes stacked. BBC Radio 1’s Arielle Free arrives after residencies at Hï Ibiza and sets everywhere from Fabric and Printworks to Glastonbury and Tomorrowland. Dublin duo Belters Only bring the house sound that propelled ‘Make Me Feel Good’ with Jazzy to Diamond status, while Danish producer Kölsch supplies the melodic techno after years spent moving through clubs and festivals including Pacha Ibiza, Coachella and Tomorrowland.
MEDUZA arrive for an Australian exclusive, bringing the deep house hooks behind billion-streaming tracks ‘Piece Of Your Heart’, ‘Lose Control’ and ‘Paradise’. Melbourne producer William Kiss takes things into harder territory with percussion-heavy techno, rumbling bass and the sort of drums designed to make midnight feel considerably louder.
The homegrown contingent runs deep too. Adam Holt & Nats, Callyy, CROSS CITY, JAKOB, Mixed Methods and SHUBZ round out a bill pulling together Sydney’s underground, house and techno communities. CROSS CITY arrive fresh from an Ushuaïa Ibiza debut, while Mixed Methods bring a soulful streak shaped by everything from Chicago house to the Australian festival circuit.
It all lands during Fuzzy’s 30th anniversary year, adding another layer to a New Year’s Eve party already determined to turn one of Sydney’s most famous stretches of coastline into something wonderfully strange. Bondi Locals Presale begins at 10am AEST on September 30, followed by the general presale at midday.
