Connecticut indie trio, Litvar, are back with a bang, releasing their latest single, ‘Oh My God’, the penultimate release before unveiling their much-anticipated sophomore album, ‘Eloquently Aimless'(due 1st September).

Following the success of their previous singles, ‘You Should Find A New Boyfriend’ and ‘Alone (Not Lonely)’, Rex Thurstan, Violet Falkowski and Joe Lemieux (Litvar) continue to deliver emotive early 00s inspired indie-pop anthems. Mixing layers of guitars, melodic hooks and driving drums and bass, the tracks offers an infectious indie backdrop with more than enough to keep you coming back. Dotted with inventive glitching samples of the lead vocals, the track is given an inventive edge wihch pulls it away from being straight indie as the soundscape moves from explosive chorus’s to delicate stripped verses.

‘Oh My God’ is yet another authentic creation that reflects the band’s personal experiences, encompassing their journey in music, life on the road, the process of coming of age, and navigating the vast world around them.

Rex from the band explains: “A song about confronting ego, trying to improve your cognitive thinking and mental health. It was originally written in the summer of 2020, before our first album had even come out. And we’ve actually played it at every live show we’ve ever played! To us it kind of feels like the most “Litvar” song, does all of the things we like to do, melodic verses, huge choruses, choppy electronic effects.”

In addition to the release of ‘Oh My God’ and the upcoming album, Litvar are also set to embark on a UK tour to celebrate the released upcoming album. With ‘Oh My God’ as a tantalizing teaser, listeners can expect an exciting and immersive journey when the full album releases on 1st September 2023.
