News: Jus Now Share Vibrant New Single ‘We Limin (The Weekend)’

Soca and dance music pioneers Jus Now have returned with a powerful new single, ‘We Limin (The Weekend)’, out now via Road Music and distributed by Monk Music.

The track is a vibrant celebration of community, freedom, and the simple joy of being together. Drawing on the Trinidadian concept of “limin” – spending time with others with no particular agenda, this new release is both a cultural homage and a global dancefloor anthem. Produced in collaboration with Trinidadian music legend Leston Paul, best known for his work on the iconic hit Hot Hot Hot, and co-written with Afrobeats star Afro B, ‘We Limin (The Weekend)’ blends Caribbean and African influences with contemporary club energy. The track features dynamic vocal performances from Serocee, Blasé Vanguard, and Keshav, delivering a high-energy tribute to weekend freedom that’s made for festivals, parties, and sound systems worldwide.

Jus Now, formed in the 2010s in Bristol by UK producer Sam Interface and Trinidadian producer and vocalist Keshav Singh, are widely known as ambassadors of Caribbean Carnival music. Their signature fusion of Soca, Dancehall, and UK bass has shaped a bold, percussive sound that’s helped redefine global bass music. With breakout tracks like Tun Up, Big Bad Soca, Truck on D Road, and Fire, the duo has consistently pushed Soca into new creative territory, earning Grammy and Caribbean Music Award nominations and collaborating with artists including Beenie Man, Busy Signal, Afro B, Major Lazer, Ms. Dynamite, DJ Fresh, and Machel Montano. In early 2025, Jus Now won the prestigious Chutney Soca Monarch competition alongside Montano, cementing their influence on the evolving Caribbean music landscape.

Their music has been featured in global campaigns for Apple’s iPhone 13, Fast & Furious 8, Nike’s England World Cup campaign, KFC Trinidad’s Carnival ads, and Zumba, as well as receiving heavy support from platforms like BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Capital FM, Kiss, Rinse, and NTS. Their live shows have evolved over the years, now showcasing a four-piece lineup that includes Sam on production, Keshav on vocals, and stage presence from UK/Jamaican mic veteran Serocee and Reprezent Radio host Blasé Vanguard. This setup has brought the group to major stages including Glastonbury, WOMAD, Tomorrowland, SXSW, and Boomtown.

‘We Limin (The Weekend)’ follows a successful 2024, which included the release of their Danger Zone EP, appearances at Boomtown, the Powis Square Stage at Notting Hill Carnival, and the Tate Britain Big Weekender. The new single kicks off their 2025 UK tour and continues their mission to fuse Caribbean roots with global sounds in innovative ways. With its infectious rhythm and message of communal joy, ‘We Limin (The Weekend)’ invites listeners around the world to pause, gather, and celebrate the power of simply being together.
