Belgian producer Pegassi will bring his fast-rising club sound to Australia for the first time this December, announcing two extended all night long headline performances in Melbourne and Sydney.

Presented by Untitled Group and Finely Tuned, the shows will see the producer, born Sam Huybrecht, take over Melbourne’s The Wool Store on December 4 before heading to Sydney’s Carriageworks on December 5. For Australian audiences, the dates mark the long-awaited headline debut of one of Europe’s most closely watched electronic artists.

Operating at the intersection of eurodance, trance, techno and house, Pegassi has spent the past few years steadily building a reputation through high-energy productions and equally dynamic DJ sets. His breakthrough came via a viral remix of ‘No Type’, which topped SoundCloud’s global charts, before tracks such as ‘Yoyoyo’, ‘MOAA’, ‘Upclose’ and ‘227kg’ helped establish him as a fixture across Europe’s club circuit.

That momentum has translated into support from some of electronic music’s most influential names, including Marlon Hoffstadt, Anetha, Trym, VTSS and Solomun. Pegassi has also become a regular presence at events and venues including Tomorrowland, Boiler Room, Teletech, Intercell and RSO, while his recently announced Amsterdam Dance Event headline show sold out in just 30 minutes.

Away from the decks, Huybrecht has expanded his ambitions with the launch of Sweet Nothing, a label and events platform designed to champion emerging artists and broaden his creative reach. As international demand continues to accelerate, his first Australian headline run arrives at a time when Pegassi is rapidly establishing himself as one of Europe’s most exciting new voices in dance music.

With two all night long sets on the horizon, local fans will finally get the chance to experience the energy and unpredictability that have made Pegassi one of the most talked-about names in contemporary club culture.
