News: Rochelle Jordan announces Australian tour following Through The Wall success

Rochelle Jordan doesn’t just blur genres — she dissolves them entirely. This May, the London-born, Toronto-raised, LA-based artist brings her after-hours world to Australia, landing at Vivid LIVE before heading through Melbourne and Brisbane on her Through The Wall tour.

Jordan’s rise hasn’t been loud, but it’s been relentless. Over 15 years, she’s built a catalogue that moves fluidly between alt-R&B, UK garage, house and pop, earning a reputation as one of the most forward-thinking voices operating in that space. With more than 200 million streams and co-signs from the likes of NPR, Pitchfork and The New York Times, the momentum has been quietly compounding — until now.

Her latest album Through The Wall feels like the moment everything clicks into place. A 17-track release shaped alongside longtime collaborator KLSH, it’s sleek but never sterile — a record that leans into polished house rhythms and nocturnal R&B textures while staying rooted in something personal. Tracks like ‘LADIDA’ and ‘The Boy’ don’t just move, they glide — equal parts control and release.

There’s a lineage here, but Jordan doesn’t sit comfortably inside it. Critics have drawn lines to Janet Jackson and Diana Ross, but what stands out is how she reframes those influences into something modern, something nocturnal and self-possessed. It’s pop music built for dim rooms and late hours, where everything feels slightly more heightened.

The Australian run follows a sold-out US headline tour and a string of high-profile performances, including a national TV debut and a standout COLORS session — proof that Jordan’s reach is finally catching up with her vision.

Live, that vision translates into something immersive rather than explosive — a slow-burn intensity that pulls you in rather than pushing out. When she hits Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this May, expect less spectacle and more atmosphere.
