News: Snayx release new single ‘Buck’

Currently demolishing venues on tour with Kid Kapichi, your new favourite band, SNAYX (pronounced Snakes) have released a new single “Buck” taken from their forthcoming debut EP “Weaponized Youth: Part 1” out on March 10th.

The fuzz-driven ‘Buck’, takes you on a wild night out with our protaganists Charlie and Ollie. “Our love for Buckfast stretches all the way back to when the late, great Dale Barclay of the Amazing Snakeheads introduced it to us one night in Brighton.” the band said. According to the band, the highly caffeinated and syrupy contents give you a unique energy boost while also being great for vocals and a smattering of confidence. “It became our drink of choice for stage and many a night out. It didn’t matter how tired you were, once the Buckfast hits, you were wired and ready to head out for a mad one,” says Ollie.

The song was inspired to spiral into chaos to mirror the mayhem of the nights out when drinking it. The layers of vocals become more and more overlapping and raucous as the track reaches its climax. Buckfast was also at the heart of SNAYX formation and was the key to landing their first-ever live show with their brothers Kid Kapichi. Drink responsibly, kids …

Combining explosive riffs and confrontational vocals with splashes of playful punk, SNAYX are breaking through at a time when socially conscious, aggressive guitar music is making waves across the UK and beyond. The likes of Nova Twins, Bob Vylan and Kid Kapichi (all bands SNAYX have supported) shows what DIY bands can achieve.

“There’s a real scene that’s coming through at the minute and it just feels so exciting. We want to be a part of that,” the band explain. “It’s different to the old-school punk scene but it’s got the same energy and intensity behind it. It’s really liberating.”

‘Buck’ and previous singles ‘Work’ and ‘Deranged’ will be tracks featured on the band’s highly anticipated forthcoming debut EP ‘Weaponized Youth: Part 1’ which is set for a March 10th release. Their previous singles have received a lot of love across UK radio and press.

Track List is as follows:

1. Work

2. Body Language

3. Deranged

4. Weaponized

5. Buck

Pre-orders are available now for a limited edition vinyl through Austerity Records

Austerity Records is a socially-conscious record label & promotions company based on the south coast of England. Fiercely independent & strictly not-for-profit, their primary goal is to help new & upcoming artists attract fresh audiences & get the attention that they deserve.

With numerous tours and festival appearances, SNAYX have covered an awful lot of ground in a short space of time, and their music is just as ambitious. “If you limit yourself creatively, you put yourself in a box. We’ve never wanted to do that,” they say. “We want to work outside of boxes, to make something we truly love.”
