News: The Dare’s Highly-Anticipated Tour To Hit Australia

The Dare—New York’s newest sonic provocateur—hits Australia this December, marking a milestone in his young but rapidly rising career. The Metro Theatre in Sydney is set to host him on Tuesday, 3 December, followed by a Melbourne show at Max Watt’s on Wednesday, 4 December. Not stopping there, he’ll take the stage at the ever-iconic Meredith Music Festival on Saturday, 7 December.

His debut album ‘What’s Wrong With New York’ dropped with a bang, a strobe-lit ode to club nights and restless youth, packed with the pulsing energy of singles like ‘Perfume,’ ‘Good Time,’ and the track that’s already become a kind of generational anthem, ‘Girls.’ The New York Times called it “a love letter to being young and hedonistic in New York,” underscoring The Dare’s seamless blend of underground cool with mainstream appeal.

The Dare nabbed his first UK #1 with ‘Guess,’ a collaboration alongside Charli XCX and Billie Eilish, produced for the deluxe edition of Brat. He’s been Charli’s right-hand opener all summer, playing everything from Boiler Room in Ibiza to her headline shows in LA and New York. The Dare is stepping into the global spotlight, and he’s not just flirting with fame—he’s owning it.

The Dare is the solo project of Harrison Patrick Smith. Bursting onto the scene with ‘Girls’, his much lauded The Sex EP drew widespread praise from critics and fellow artists alike. His explosive live shows have sold out across North America and Europe, and his legendary DJ sets, honed at his signature downtown Manhattan party Freakquencies, have soundtracked parties for Gucci, Celine and many more. He has shared stages and collaborated with Charli XCX, Yves Tumor, Water From Your Eyes and a host of others.
