Innovative alt-rock force Thurtythree has returned with their most emotionally intense offering yet, ‘Quietly Ablaze’, a blistering yet eerily poignant single that sets the stage for a debut album arriving later this summer. The track marks a bold step forward for the artist, delivering a visceral fusion of nu-metal grit and modern alt-rock atmosphere.
Blending crushing guitars with brooding electronics, ‘Quietly Ablaze’ stands as a searing anthem for those grappling with inner turmoil and emotional overwhelm. Influences from Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon, Nevertel, Normandie, and Caskets are woven into the sonic fabric, but Thurtythree’s voice – both literal and artistic – is unmistakably their own: wounded, raw, and razor-sharp.
“It’s about when you’re drowning under too much of anything in your life,” explains Thurtythree. “And while the fire should be extinguished by the leagues of water that are drowning you, everything is still on fire — even though it shouldn’t be possible. It’s a feeling of impossibility and dealing with the futile and never-ending nature of it.”
Born out of a moment of personal collapse, the track translates that feeling into a sonic pressure cooker – towering riffs, industrial undertones, and emotionally charged vocals crash together in a cathartic storm. It’s as introspective as it is explosive, offering listeners both a mirror and an outlet.
