Newcomers KWONIX share the vibrant debut single ‘Full Speed’, a radiant blend of jazzy instrumentation, R&B undertones and soaring, soulful vocals. A collaboration between Kwo and Unïx, the new single also features guest vocals from Chloe Nicole and NOAMZ.
Blending bold ambition with a deep sense of soul, ‘Full Speed’ is a strikingly complete sounding debut with its flawless production and rich, complex arrangement. Anchored a syncopated, driving central beat, the glistening keys, warming bass, spacious electronics and subtle brass and woodwind bring a textured, brilliantly nuanced soundscape.
Moments of reverse instrumentation and ethereal layered vocals give the track a left-field flare which pulls the track away from Jazz and more into a alternative realm, highlighting KWONIX as an exciting project moving forward.
Diving into the heart of the song, Kwo reflects on its inception: “‘Full Speed’ is an epic sonic journey & self-affirmation for anyone pushing through the trials & tribulations of life. We wrote & recorded it in two quick sessions during Unïx’s LA visit in April 2025.” He adds, “We talked about a lot of life while we were together, and Unïx recalled me saying that despite a lot of upheaval in my life at the time, I felt like I was moving ‘full speed’. He took it from there effortlessly. Our hope is that this song can motivate, comfort, & uplift everyone whose ears fall upon it, however it may find you.”
Both artists bring distinct, yet complementary sensibilities to the table. Kwo, an LA-based producer known for his warm, analog-rich sound, builds sonic environments that feel cinematic and timeless. Unïx, hailing from Richmond, VA, delivers vocals that strike a rare balance between earthiness and transcendence—earning him comparisons to Anderson .Paak, Durand Bernarr, and Moses Sumney. Together, their chemistry is undeniable, and ‘Full Speed’ showcases the pair in complete sync.
