Vale! ULB are turning up the heat once again with the release of their bold new single, ‘Devórame’, a vibrant Latin-pop anthem that embraces freedom, sensuality and the joy of living in the moment.
Following a string of international chart successes across Europe, the Americas and beyond, the multicultural collective continue to build on their global momentum with what is arguably their most adventurous release to date. Showcasing the band’s signature “Cabana Bounce” sound, ‘Devórame’ fuses Latin pop, Cuban rhythms, Brazilian funk, hip-hop and New Orleans bounce into an infectious celebration designed for the dancefloor.
At the heart of Vale! ULB is vocalist Val, daughter of multiple Latin Grammy-winning producer and musician Dante Vargas. She is joined by an impressive lineup that includes three-time Grammy-winning producer Deezle, known for his work with Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj, Grammy-winning trumpeter Emiliano, acclaimed Cuban percussionist Anier and guitarist Friki, son of the founder of the Buena Vista Social Club.
Meaning “devour me,” ‘Devórame’ delivers irresistible hooks, vibrant percussion and an undeniable sense of confidence and desire. The track began life with a Brazilian funk-inspired beat from Deezle before Val developed its distinctive melodies and lyrics. Anier’s live percussion injects the song with infectious energy, while Grammy Award-winning Latin producer Mr. Sonic helped shape the production into a seamless blend of genres.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Val said: “‘Devórame’ means to devour me. It’s a song that expresses freedom, sensuality and creates an atmosphere to feel wanted and desired.”
That uplifting spirit has become synonymous with Vale! ULB, whose music captures the feeling of sun-drenched beaches, carefree nights and spontaneous celebrations.
