Vienna duo Lucy Dreams have today released their new video for The Journey, the single that came out last week on Austrian label Prueckl Beats, and we’re delighted to be able to premiere it right here on Backseat Mafia.
What started out as an Audio-AI became, at least in the minds and imaginations of the mysterious duo, a person (or at least a system) called Lucy and their sound experiments and songs were seen as Lucy’s Dreams, hence the name.
Linving in the same aural atmosphere as the likes of early Daft-Punk, the track is this sci-Fi sounding slice of electro rock, the tension created by these static chords in the verse dissipate in this uplifting chorus as the synths and electro beats and sounds envelop you. It’s irresistible stuff.
the video is this similarly fantasy / sci-Fi led thing, with skulls and effects and altered video and animation all taking their part.
