Premiere: Tamara Hall – Bubble Bubble

Electronic producer Tamara Hall has been turning heads and ears since she was 15, signing to German label Plasmapool just a year after beginning to produce music herself. The Limerick producer she’s received airplay all over her native Ireland and beyond, and produced produced a number of irish artists including Gavin Da Vinci, who is a member of the PX music collective. Fast forward to the now, and she’s working on a mixtape, due for release before the end of the year, and ahead of that we’re delighted to premiere a track ‘Bubble Bubble’ right here on Backseat Mafia today.

Of the track, Tamara says “‘Bubble Bubble’ is about an event that changed my life and me as a person. All of the emotions I felt following this event were expressed in this track in a musical form. I very much use music as a form of expression when I’m going through something and this track is an example of that. My music explores the depths of me as a person”

It’s a slow track, all echo and electronic winds blowing in and out. Even the beats drop in and out, leaving these hollow chords and bassline to it. As it begins to unravel, so this beat hammers home, almost morse code like, it’s message. That message being underneath the warm exterior, anxious and melancholy thoughts lurk. It’s brilliant stuff.
