Say Psych: Album Review: Lastryko – Tętno Pulsu

Hailing from the Three city area, a coastal metropolis in the north of Poland comprising of the cities Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot; Lastryko can be placed somewhere between psychedelic, post rock and krautrock. Exuding fluid grooves with an experimental touch, Tętno Pulsu is a collection of selected pieces recorded during an improvised two-day studio session from the Spring of 2018. It is ninth offering from DIY label Weird Beard and is due out on 25 March.

The six-track album is made up of uncompromising motorik beats, instrumental psych melodies and an infectious countenance that would go down well on any festival billing. The tracks take the listener on a journey to the outer reaches of space and time, and back again, whilst maintaining integrity and intrigue. The standout track comes in the form of ‘Dwa’, a number with a catchy beat that takes hold and instantly makes you want to move; it’s one for the dancers.

There is a little something for everyone in here, you just need to seek it out.
