See: On the day of the release of the brilliant album Jupiter 13, Kilbey and Kennedy issues a video for ‘Rendezvous’

Already for me a strong contender for one of the albums of the year, today sees the release of ‘Jupiter 13’, a spectacular album recently reviewed by me for Backseat Mafia last month. And to mark the occasion, Kilbey/Kennedy have released a video for the track ‘Rendezvous’.

The track itself is lush and shimmering – celestial instrumentation and melancholy vocals with a huge enveloping chorus. The video, directed by Clint Lewis, captures the sci-fi enigma of the track itself – beautiful and mysterious vignettes as a man observes a fifties-era life on the moon with interruptions and oscillators and a melancholic sense of loneliness and isolation. Just exquisite:

‘Jupiter 13’ is a magnificent album – an enormously successful collaboration between two maestros of composition and exposition. ‘Jupiter 13’ is packed full of stadium-filling anthems with melody and poise while at the same time creating something alien, unnerving and wonderful in its shimmering sci-fi psychedelia.

Jupiter 13 is available now and you can order download/streams from here or from the link below:
