Mixing up elements of jangle Pop, doo-wop and Garage rock in the track Loma Prieta (Walk You Home), Chico Detour hits on something retro yet immediate, soft focused yet somehow gritty and persuasive and loveable at the same time.

As he says , “Sonically and visually, this song lives in that world where doo-wop romance meets garage-band honesty. We wanted it to feel warm, classic, and a little surreal like a memory you can’t quite place but know you’ve lived.”

The accompanying video plays into that, all soft focuses and pastels, mixing up the band performing the sing with sweet interjections of video with children, travel and dancing among other things feeling into a hazy trip through nostalgia.
