The Bambi Kills are an independent sister duo from Melbourne Australia, no strangers to music Vanessa was the singer of Grunge trio ‘Valentiine’ and Elena is one half of Garage Punk’s ‘Mannequin Death Squad’ both signed to UK independent label Integrity Records.
With The Bambi Kills both sisters take a more stripped back approach creating explosive, crunching pop that’s fizzed with energy and attitude. Certainly they aren’t bound to any particular sound, swimming comfortably between a mix of genres and styles, previous singles ‘Headlights’ and ‘Lust’ featured haunting harmonies and dark synths.
On ‘Sweet Love’ the duos compelling new single they put vocal acrobatics to the forefront, backed by acoustic guitars to create a pop driven melody reminiscent of Belly or The Breeders at their purest with Vanessa’s lush harmonies almost duelling with Elena’s lead vocal.
