The stunning and gifted A.A. Williams is set to release Having last month announced the release an album of covers entitled ‘Songs From Isolation’, due February 12th via Bella Union. In the run up William’s has shared a track from the album in the form of a beguiling, piano and vocal cover of the Smashing Pumpkins classic “Porcelina Of The Vast Oceans”.

Of the track Williams says:

“Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness is such a nostalgic album for a generation of music-lovers, it was great to have a chance to work on one of the tracks for the Songs From Isolation project. The Pumpkins’ Porcelina has so many timbre changes and complexities that in this arrangement I wanted to hone in on the text, whilst leaving the piano to underpin everything with a dreamy positivity.”

The master of stripped back and mistress of emotions, William’s has turned the epic 9 minute Pumpkins classical into a somber beautiful ode. Dominated by the beautiful tones of her voice and the huge sound from the lonely piano. More please Miss Williams.
