Track: Black Veil Brides team with Machine Head’s Robb Flynn on ‘Revenger’

Black Veil Brides have unveiled new single Revenger featuring Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn, and it is exactly the kind of left-turn pairing that makes sense the moment you hear it.

The track is the latest preview of seventh studio album Vindicate, due 8 May via Spinefarm Records, and continues a rollout that has favoured ambition over autopilot. Where some legacy-era heavy bands settle into repetition, Black Veil Brides seem intent on stretching the frame.

‘Revenger’ explores vengeance not as triumph, but fantasy. According to frontman Andy Biersack, the lyrics were written from the perspective of someone convinced that absolute justice can be achieved through retribution. It is less rallying cry than psychological portrait, and Flynn’s unmistakable snarl gives the character real weight.

Biersack says Flynn was the obvious guest choice, citing both his voice and a long history of support. In the band’s early years, when ridicule from parts of the metal scene was routine, Flynn was one of the few established figures publicly backing them. That context gives the collaboration extra charge: not just crossover novelty, but a full-circle moment.

The album’s build-up has already produced singles Bleeders, Hallelujah, Certainty and title track ‘Vindicate’, each suggesting a band still committed to theatrical scale without sacrificing punch.

To support the album, Black Veil Brides are launching a 24-date North American headline run beginning in Riverside on 25 April and wrapping in Worcester on 30 May, joined by From Ashes To New, TX2 and As December Falls.
