Track: Century Egg push through the dark times with the smashingly twangy ‘Mirror’

Century Egg

NOVA SCOTIA’S mandopop-informed punk quartet Century Egg, whose thrashy, dust-yourself-down nugget “Moving On” we covered here pretty much exactly a month back, are back in the fray once more, dear friends, this time around with the smashingly twangy riff-roarer of “Mirror”. Dance those docs off to this raggedy ace punk pop tune.

The track actually completes a digital double-A with that other cracker from October, and is, the band – comprised of singer Shane Song, bassist and backing vocalist Matty Grace, guitarist, Robert Drisdelle and drummer Megumi Yoshida – “about the struggle of depression and how dark things can feel even when there are bright sides.”

Century Egg have recently performed at M For Montreal Festival and Nova Scotia Music Week as well as headline shows in Toronto and Ottawa.

Century Egg’s “Mirror” is out now on all digital streaming platforms.
