A languorous, charged and alluring dreamy fugue emanates from the new single by Brisbane’s Cloud Tangle in the delicious single ‘Thinking of Myself’. Cloud Tangle is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Amber Ramsay, who has been releasing music under Cloud Tangle since 2014. Of Cloud Tangle, Ramsay says:
My goal with this project is to offer an honest and inspired representation of my deepest thoughts and ideas, in a way that focuses solely on the music itself and the atmosphere I am creating rather than my own identity and physical aesthetic.” Amber says. “I want to inspire especially young women to explore a path in music where you can do it yourself and be confident in your skills and approach.
Indeed this single is all about atmosphere and the spaces inbetween the music. It is a slow burning evocative song, psychedelic and dream-inducing with Ramsay’s sleepy, ethereal style giving it a hypnotic reverie:
