Track: common goldfish Creates A Nostalgic 90’s Summer Soundscape On New Single ‘Shout Louder’

Tottenham-based common goldfish shares his new single ‘Shout Louder’, an atmospheric, euphoric and strikingly 90’s inspired journey. Psychedelic, danceable and intoxicating, the track is sonically nostalgic, capturing an unmistakable element of Happy Mondays and The Stone Roses in its airy delivery.

Blending a delay-dipped slide guitar with a punchy drum beat, bopping keys, swelling organs, driving bass and goldfish’s effortlessly charismatic lead vocal, the resulting soundscape is hypnotic and unmistakably summery – 100% festival vibes. There’s a real sense that the artist loves the music he’s making and is thoroughly enjoying his art which is reflected in the uplifting, joyous sun-kissed lyricism.

Speaking about how the track was made, common goldfish shares: “I created the beat using a mix of 90’s break samples. Quite quickly I had the bass line and piano. I’d been watching the “Get Back” documentary, which definitely inspired the vocals and psychedelic guitar sounds. The track was making me think of being outside with friends in the sun, and the lyrics try to capture this.”
