Featuring the vocal talent of Jamie Jamal, the original mix of “The One” is an instant summer affair that captures the soul through its progressive and melodic vibrancy.
Written and produced by Jan Warner aka Future Self, this Swedish born house artist has a flair for dropping cool, rhythmic, deep house tracks. No stranger to BBC’s Introducing, this latest offering, his fifth through Self Control Records, comes with the headlining, club enthused remix by fellow Bristolian house DJ Waifs and Strays. Did I mention that all 3 reside in current music-magnet Bristol? This was a collaboration drawn from a pent-up passion of house music coupled with the impact of lockdown, and you can feel it in both the music and Jamie’s outstanding vocal delivery.
