Australian singer-songwriter and producer Gordi begins the year with High Line, a restrained, quietly assured new single that arrives alongside the announcement of an 11-date Australian headline tour running from March through May. The track follows the release of her third album Like Plasticine, continuing a period of steady creative focus rather than sharp reinvention. Stream Like Plasticine HERE.

Written with Alex Lahey and featuring guitar from Christian Lee HutsonHigh Line unfolds patiently. Built around a clear melodic line and minimal arrangement, the song is entirely recorded, produced and mixed by Gordi, placing emphasis on atmosphere and narrative detail rather than density.

The single draws from a specific moment, written during a July heatwave, with sensory detail shaping both its lyrics and pacing. Hutson’s guitar part forms a subtle backbone, around which the rest of the track was carefully constructed, allowing space for the song to breathe without losing momentum.

Like Plasticine, released in August 2025, marked a significant chapter for Gordi, earning an ARIA nomination for Best Adult Contemporary Album and placing at number three in Double J’s Best 50 Albums of the year. The record expanded her international profile, supported by singles including Peripheral LoverCutting Room Floor and Lunch At Dune, and followed by extensive touring across Australia, the US, the UK and Europe.

With High Line setting the tone, Gordi’s upcoming Australian tour offers a chance to hear this material in a live setting shaped by intimacy and detail, extending the thread that has defined her recent work.
