Track: In Flames Release New Single ‘Foregone PT. 2’ Ahead Of Forthcoming European Tour

After announcing their fourteenth studio album, ‘Foregone’, and sharing the new single ‘Foregone Pt. 1’. Today, the band pick up the threads by releasing ‘Foregone Pt. 2’

The new song arrives just in time for the band’s huge upcoming tour, that launches on November 12th in Tallinn, Estonia.

Frontman Anders Fridén states,

“While revisiting songs in our catalog like Moonshield and Gyroscope, I felt we hadn’t done that style for a while. We wanted to honour those types of songs which incorporates the Swedish folk vibe, but bring it to the current era of In flames. Musically and lyrically it is a continuation of Foregone.”

Opening with some fantastic guitar work that builds the track up, Fridén enters with a more restrained and melodic vocal take. The track as a whole has more of a melodic and gentler vibe than Pt. 1, although the metal isn’t far away as Fridén treats us to his growl which really hits you after the clean singing. Björn Gelotte and Chris Broderick can take a bow for their slick guitar playing throughout. Brilliantly played and those tones are perfect.
