Charmingly quirky, Ballarat-based indie-pop duo Odd Tastes make an exciting return to the scene with latest single ‘IT’S ALRIGHT’ – an effervescent delight of a track, produced and mixed by group member Will Stephens. Featuring stylised, sparkling vocals, bubbling electronics and melodic guitar, the song skips along like a light breeze on a sunny day.

About the meaning behind the song, Stephens says: “I was going through a breakup, but for some strange reason, I was taking it so well. I decided to capture this with this song.”

“Simply, it’s completely fine when someone doesn’t like you. It happens.” – Odd Tastes (on ‘It’s Alright’)

Odd Tastes consists of twins Will and Georgina Stephens, who dabble in a wide-range of musical genres and are well-known for delivering enthusiastic live performances. Their previous singles have been well-supported by triple j, triple j Unearthed, 2RRR, Forte Mag, and The Bops Collective. They have also previously shared stages with the likes of The Smith Street Band and The Bennies, as well as appearing at Queenscliff Music Festival in 2019.

In the coming weeks Odd Tastes will drop the accompanying music video for ‘It’s Alright’, and we can’t wait.

To coincide with the single’s release, the duo will be performing a one-off launch at The Workers Club in Melbourne next month.

‘It’s Alright’ will be available everywhere from this Friday, May 21. You can stream below:
