Track: ‘Shout It To The Wind’ – The Lovetones return with a delicious, atmospheric intensity

The ever dependable and utterly iconic The Lovetones are back to delicately entice our ears with their signatory jingle jangle auditory salve. Their new single ‘Shout It To The Wind’ positively shimmers like the light on a lake in mid-summer.

What better way to launch 2025 is there than with this slow burning anthem where singer Matt Tow’s velvet baritone voice takes the front seat, with a crystalline 12-string guitar bed to luxuriate in. Dripping with a yearning melancholy, the track has a melodic flow that seethes with a burning intensity like a sparking fuse that ultimately explodes.

There are hints of REM in the instrumentation with the delicate guitar riffs that morph into a multi-layered orchestration with strings and piano, leaving us quite replete. This is a band that just gets exponentially better with each single.

‘Shout It To The Wind’ is ironically launched without much fanfare into the grateful world, and hopeful heralds more delights this year. You can get it through the link above and via all the usual streaming sights, including here.
