Track: Sydney’s Lisa Caruso sums up the zeitgeist with her glorious, anthemic track ‘It Doesn’t Feel Like Christmas’

It’s been over a year since Sydney chanteuse Lisa Caruso released her highly impressive debut album ‘In Feelings’ (see my review here) and the intervening time has been horrific for the globe in general. In recognition of the deprivations suffered by many, Caruso has decided to release an acknowledgement of the afflictions many suffer during the so-called festive season: a shining light of compassion that is greatly needed as an antidote.

‘It Doesn’t Feel Like Christmas’ is joyous and inclusive with its thick Hammond organ bedrock and crystal guitar strokes. Caruso’s velvet golden vocals caress with a deep melancholy and an ethereal choral background replete with an anthemic chorus that is glorious.

Caruso says of the track:

It was on my bucket list to record an original Christmas song. I wish it went some other way but know that I am not alone in these feelings. I hope that this song brings some comfort to those who have recently experienced loss and heartache, and that it raises some awareness around toxic positivity.

This is a lovely present: sparkling like stars in the sky with a euphoric, stately feel:

‘It doesn’t Feel Like Christmas is out now and available through all the usual streaming sites.
