Based in London’s East End, The Daybreakers are blues infused rock ‘n’ rollers formed in 2019 by singer / songwriter / producer Aidan Connell, who’s talents have been sought by artists such as Gary Clark Jr, Mazzy Star and Seasick Steve among many others.The band are set to release their debut album ‘Get Through This & Live’ via all streaming services on 18th May 2023. Until then they have shared the video for track ‘Clean’ of which lead vocalist Aidan Connell states:
“Clean ‘the most recent track’ mourns toxic friendship you’ve sometimes got to leave behind in order to progress artistically monkeys on backs and unwritten futures play on the light and dark themes of any self destructive patterns.”
A chilled infectious track that sees the band channel their rock influences with fuzzy rock tones and snazzy guitar work. The Smooth vocals of Connell lay thick over the groovy riff that leads the track, joined by female backing and a blast of a harmonica. The perfect sunny day track.
